Rising Stars

Rising Stars is a pre-competitive program that prepares swimmers for the ASA competitive program by teaching, refining, and developing stroke technique in all four strokes as well as dives and flip-turns. The goal of Rising Stars is to give swimmers the skills they need to one day be able to compete on the ASA competitive team.

Level Descriptions

Rising Stars is for ages 5 - 9

Please review the requirements for each group and register your swimmer for the appropriate group.  All swimmers will be given a quick assessment at the beginning of the first class each session and may be moved to another level during the same class time if appropriate.

Shooting Stars

(Previously Stroke Development)

  Swimmers in this group should be able to:

  • Swim on their front unassisted for all 25 yds of the pool
  • Kick on their back unassisted for at least 10 meters of the pool
  • Tread water for at least 15 seconds
  • Be comfortable going into the deep end with a Junior Coach next to them 

 

Supernovas

(Previously Stroke Refinement)

  Swimmers in this group should be able to:

  • Swim freestyle breathing on side or back for all 25 yds of the pool
  • Swim backstroke for all 25 yds of the pool
  • Tread water for at least 30 seconds
  • Perform or attempt a sitting or kneeling dive

Terms: 

  • $100 of the session's fee is non-refundable -- When you register, you are securing a spot in the Rising Stars class. 
    • If you cancel prior to the start of the 2nd class, you will receive a refund minus the $100 registration fee.
  • Refunds
    • ​NO refunds are available after the start of the second class of the session 
  • No make-up classes are available if you miss a class
  • Due to insurance requirements, a parent/guardian MUST stay throughout the class session
